Raid Academy
To have fun and a safe space for people from all walks of life, to learn and progress through some of the hardest content in the game.
Priorities:
1. Have fun
2. Be kind
3. Learn and improve
4. Take the time needed for the above
Emotional maturity is a big part of what we are looking for. This means admitting when we can do better and doing practical things to help each other be better. This also mean generally being stable and dependable when the situation calls for it.
Keeping the team morale up is big too. This does not mean fake positivity or being delusional, just a candid admission of when things are possible and we should keep trying and when things are too difficult and we should work on gearing up or improve our performance as a team before having an expectation.
For progress, generally, we want to take 1 to 4 weeks to learn a savage fight (some fights are quite a bit harder than others). This gives us about 2 to 3 months to clear all 4 bosses in a raid tier.
Finally team culture fit is tantamount - practically, this means a general agreeableness to each other in the team and "the way we roll". Some people might call this being "casual" or "hardcore" but those are labels that gloss over important truths of what keeps a team happy together.
Sincerely,
Innade Nagev (Odin)

Raid Boss Warnings for FFXIV - Setup Guide
1. Install ACT
Follow this video to install and setup Advanced Combat Tracker for FFXIV:
2. Download Required ACT Plugins
- hibiyasleep's OverlayPlugin - https://github.com/hibiyasleep/OverlayPlugin/releases
- Grab the latest OverlayPlugin-x.x.x.x-x64-full.zip file
- Cactbot - https://github.com/quisquous/cactbot/releases
- Grab the latest cactbot-x.x.x.zip file
3. Unzip and copy Plugins to ACT Folder
- Create the folder - C:\Program Files (x86)\Advanced Combat Tracker\OverlayPlugin
- Copy files within OverlayPlugin-x.x.x.x-x64-full.zip into: C:\Program Files (x86)\Advanced Combat Tracker\OverlayPlugin
- In cactbot-x.x.x.zip there is a folder named OverlayPlugin add the files in that folder to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Advanced Combat Tracker\OverlayPlugin
4. Enable OverlayPlugin
- Click "Browse" and select OverlayPlugin.dll within C:\Program Files (x86)\Advanced Combat Tracker\OverlayPlugin
- Click "Add/Enable Plugin"
5. Add Cactbot Overlays
I use 3 types of Cactbot Overlays:
- raidboss - For raid boss warnings and timers
- dps - For dps meters
- oopsyraidsy - Mainly to show who got hit by avoidable damage
To add them:
- Click on "New" under the OverlayPlugin.dll tab, give it a name and most importantly, select Cactbot for Type:
- Once added:
- Set "Dps update interval seconds" to 3 for each one
- For "URL" select these files for the respective overlay:
- raidboss
C:\Program Files (x86)\Advanced Combat Tracker\OverlayPlugin\cactbot\ui\raidboss\raidboss.html - dps
C:/Program Files (x86)/Advanced Combat Tracker/OverlayPlugin/cactbot/ui/dps/rdmty/dps.html - oopsyraidsy
C:/Program Files (x86)/Advanced Combat Tracker/OverlayPlugin/cactbot/ui/oopsyraidsy/oopsyraidsy.html - You will notice that the overlays show on screen, you may drag the top of the overlays to position them. Dragging on the bottom-left corner of each overlay resizes them.
- Once you are happy with their position, check "Lock overlay"
5. Enjoy the enhanced raid experience
GLHF!
